Abstract

1. The Unnatural Hypothesis of a Constant Rate of Interest

There are loan contracts which assume a constant interest during several years and thereafter payment of the amount borrowed, but nowadays clauses are as a rule admitted giving the debtor right of conversion or repayment after a certain period, generally ten years. Low interest loans can be considered as perpetuities from a practical point of view, as long as no possibility is meant to exist that the market rate will fall under their nominal rate. Such a loan—as e.g. Consols—with the nominal rate i ₀ ought to be valued at a discount if the market rate is higher, say i > i ₀, the value being equal to the fraction i ₀ : i. But constant rates are no rule in practice.     

有选择地提高联合双原子高次谐波发射效率的一种方法

利用经典的SMT理论分析了一维普薛耳-特勒势（PT势）模型原子在激光场作用下的动力学行为，优化了联合双原子模型；并用特殊设计的双色激光场辐照该模型，采用Crank—Nicholson方法求解其原子的含时Schroedinger方程，得到了它的高次谐波发射谱．该谱表明，可以将截止位置为Ip＋8Up的高谐波发射效率提高到10^-9．

针对某居民楼山墙裂缝产生的位置、形状,结合房屋检测及房屋现状,认为该居民楼的倾斜变形及变形缝被填塞共同导致了房屋山墙产生损伤裂缝。为确保房屋安全,建议对部分地基进行灌浆加固,清除变形缝内填塞物,恢复房屋相对变形能力,对开裂墙体采用压力灌浆的方法进行修补加固。

Why TNCs try to make their subsidiaries sole proprietorship enterprises in China?

A review on the evolution of the Transnational Corporations’ (TNCs) equity ownership structure in their subsidiaries in recent 20 years reveals an increasingly clear preference for sole proprietorship. Based on results of the prior researches, this paper presented a two-stage evolutionary model to explain the underlying reasons of the tendency in China. It is shown that the TNCs’ strategic choice for their subsidiaries’ equity ownership structure is a decision-making process and result, which makes the parent company, as the principal part, based on the current business strategies of the parent company (local or global integration) at the premise of the investment environment of host country, pursue possibly unproductive receipts by choosing or changing the structure of the equity ownership. Measures of Joint Venture Performance from Multiple Perspectives: An Evaluation by Local and Foreign Managers in Vietnam

A study was undertaken to identify the most relevant performance evaluation measures for joint venture managers and to analyze differences in perception about joint venture performance between foreign and Vietnamese joint venture managers. The results revealed five factors belonging to three perspectives of particular relevance to managers: operational efficiency (economic indicator), competitiveness and external customer relations (strategic indicators) as well as equity and working relationship (behavioral indicators). This study also points out that under normal operating conditions, there are no significant differences in perception between foreign and Vietnamese joint venture managers regarding both efficiency and equity. This confirms the need for equity in a joint venture relationship in order to maintain balance between the partners and avoid dissolution.
